Global Tech Partners held it's last panel discussion for the year titled "Ctrl+Alt+Deliver: Security Leadership in the Age of AI & Automation"

We organised this event because we recognise that today’s security landscape is changing fast, cyber, electronic, and physical threats are converging in ways that are reshaping how we protect communities and critical infrastructure. Yesterday’s panel brought that challenge into sharp focus, with an energising discussion on how leaders can make smarter, more accountable decisions as AI, automation, robotics, and emerging technologies become central to modern security.

We were fortunate to have an exceptional group on stage:

Andrew Harris, who steered the conversation brilliantly as moderator; Victoria Police Deputy Secretary Karl Kent, stepping in for Chief Commissioner Mike Bush and bringing deep operational and strategic insight; Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL) CEO Bryan De caires, offering industry-wide perspectives from ASIAL; and

Hayley van Loon, CEO Crime Stoppers International bringing valuable operational and intelligence insights.

Together, they explored the responsible integration of advanced technologies; how emerging tools can strengthen public trust and community engagement; and how drones, robotics, AI and autonomous systems are shifting the way public safety organisations and private providers collaborate, especially as resource constraints grow and responsibilities evolve.

The conversation didn’t end when the microphones turned off. The room was full of engaged security leaders, integrators, law enforcement executives and critical infrastructure managers, and the networking continued long after the formal session wrapped up, a real sign of how important and timely this topic is.

A sincere thank you to our panelists and moderator for sharing their experience so openly, and to our audience for their thoughtful questions and contributions throughout the afternoon.

And a big thank you to Melbourne Connect Co-working for providing the space and helping make the event possible and Agnes Fecher Photography for the excellent photos below.
